Artizan and Black Hat FFL
« on: 13 November 2014, 01:53:42 AM »
I have the Artizan FFl figure and was thinking of buying some of Black Hats figures, will these to ranges fit together?
Also are there any more Colonial FFL on the market?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

BlackHat carry the Unfeasibly line of FFL & Tuaregs - these figures are true scale (1/56) 28mm miniatures, so next to Artizan they appear slighter in frame, however once painted & based they do blend in,  the mounted Tuareg will make a fine adversary  (the camels are from Ebob) - see them here

If you pink me an PM or email I'll send you a sample figure

Hello
I purchased, years ago, some few unfeasibly Tuaregs. they are very very nice...the best in my opinion..well proportioned and well reseached..their Legionaires catch properly the pheeling of the period..better than other ranges..they also supply spare weapons and equipment exceptionally well done and useful...i tried to put them side by side to Artizan minis and to Redoubt Legionaires..they fit well and as the other forum member said , you will not notice the difference once painted..Unfortunatly, from years, i had already buit up and painted Arab and FFL Armies out of Redoubt and others..otherwise i would have choosen without esitation this BlacK hat/Unfeasibly types...the more characteristic in my opinion..If the firm will sort out new exotic types like the essential Compagnies Sahariennes i would certainly buy them together with some FFL personalities like the ones you can see on their site.

Thank you

The Compagnies Sahariennes  are next on the sculpting list,  currently working on the Tuareg Command.

The first packs for Compagnies Sahariennes  will be foot and mounted figures, plan to get 4 mounted and 4 foot variants, expect them to be completed by end Jan 2015

Kind Regards
Mark

That's great knew Mark!!!!
they would be very useful..the uniform so characteristic of this Camel Mounted Infantry , with their peculiar brest, crossed pouches over cloth in distinctive colours and native inspired dress, did'nt change up to WW2 and even late Fifties..they saw action in WW1 Vs Senussi and Tuaregs...those Sahariens could even be fielded Vs Italians Saharian counterparts (Meharisti) at the border with Lybia in WW2..like in the beautiful Desert Scorpion's comics by Hugo Pratt (the author of World famous Corto Maltese)...and not to forget that, contrary to FFL, Zouaves ecc..they fought in other fronts like Mauritanie, Tchad and Niger with exotic support from Tirailleurs Sénegalais with which, in some cases, they manned the same frontier forts..
mark if you need any more info or plates on those troops, please feel  free to contact me

don't forget to make a set for kneeling camels, because this is what will be needed most when using meharistes in battle. meharistes are mounted infantry who never risk their camels

I have almost all miniatures from this range. I am glad they go back into production.
I am really looking forward to the camels and we need more Taureg poses too !

maybe You have then some comparison puictures with Artizan and the others? I'd be interested too, although I can imagine the height fits but not the proportion of head and hands

Hi,

they do not fit.
Both are excellent ranges. But Artizan FFL miniatures are larger and bulkier.

Artizan and Renegade Early War French really work fine together.

unfeasily are sculpted much finer. I am not saying better cuz both are great but you can not mix them.

I mixed unfeasibly with old glory ffl for grmnirs and  my game at tactica.
