Fa La La La La La La La La
Just a reminder that as we enter the Christmas season, craft stores and dollar stores start selling "picket" fences. Now I have no picture to post, nor can I direct you to the person who built a great rope bridge out of these picket fences and posted a how to do it on this site, but trust me when I say this product will do the job.
I mention this item, because, at least around here, this item only seems to be sold at this time of year. I have been checking my local craft store on and off for the last few months, and finally it is in stock.
I got mine at a craft store called Michael's. It retails for around $6-7.00 Canadian, less if you have a 40% off coupon that they always seem to have in their flyers. It is 36 inches long, with two wires attaching to each slat. Each slat is roughly 2 inches long tapering to a point at one end and 1/4 inch wide. The wood is unfinished, and it is easy to snip the pointed end then stain or paint the wood slats add a wire rope hand hold, or leave that off to make it easier to move figures along it.
Hopefully someone can post a link to the posting on this site, that demonstrated how to build a bridge with this.
