Something odd i found today
« on: 21 November 2014, 06:45:25 PM »
I found this in a charity shop today for £1
It seems to be made of solid rubber ,like a ball, on the finns it says MADE IN MALAYSIA and Do Not Throw Out of Water
No idea what it was supposed to be,  but it will  probably end up as some sort of rocket in a pulp game. The other option is to use it as part of an airship.

A few years back the beach shops of resorts of the Mediterranean were awash with these weighted missiles you could 'throw' underwater. I bought one as I was going to take home the casing but the half kilogram of metal inside was fused to the plastic. I can see the reason for the warning not to throw out of the water. If it hit someone you could inflict a serious injury. Pointed weighted metal flying through the air - isn't that one definition of a bullet?
The staff in the charity shop were throwing it around ,trying to get it to bounce like a ball !

The V2 was designed around the shape of the Kar98 bullet.  ;)
