Phenomenal  :o

The red and Blue-Grey go so well together.  True pieces of art, every figure a mini masterpiece.  :-*

Related question: Are the Icestorm figs noticeably larger/heftier than previous Infinity sculpts?

I'm asking because the last several new sculpts I purchased are definitely on the 'heroic 32mm' side. Is this a temporary bump or a trend to larger figs?

I think all the models I've got here are more recent ones but I'm sure I read somewhere that these later sculpts are a lot bigger than the earlier stuff. I hope I've not got that info wrong!

Thanks for the comments everyone.  :)

Lovely painting mucker.
I wouldn't say they're better than the studio pjs, they're as good as but they're very different in style, and I also prefer them.
Giraldez and co seem to go for maximum 'bling', which I don't find very attractive. These have got a great comic book vibe which appeals to me more.

@Denatus.
The figs have gone through three phases in my opinion. The early ones were pretty big with quite exagerated proportions. They then became more realistically proportioned but smaller. These new ones are realistically proportioned but bigger again. They don't look out of place next to the old ones, but they dwarf some of the intermediate figs. The infinity line has always been very inconsistant in terms of scale, very annoying. They're now doing everything on computers so hopefully it be more consistant from now on.
If you can be bothered, have a look at this thread on the subject, it's got some good photos comparing the sizes

Loving these new folks. Echoing hubbabubba's comment too, about these having more stylization. Not better or worse than the studio jobs, but yours and the studio jobs are both at a very high level of craft.

I'd like to see these in person. Superhuman crispness!

Stunning!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

Quick question, how do you achieve that smooooothness? Is it many, many, many layers or is it all to do with glazes?

I'm not sure how many layers I generally use but it's not a ridiculous amount. It does vary from one colour to another though. It's more about how the paint is applied. I tend to feather and crosshatch the edges of the layers which blends them into one another. It can be pretty harsh on brushes though so I get through them at quite a rate. Once I get myself sorted out for doing video it's something I'll be able to better show.
