Very nice work.  The wood is great.

One question though - why the brown / cream roof? All the straw roof material I have seen is grey or black...

Not saying it looks wrong but just comparing it to the UK present day buildings.

Dry brushing is usually a cheap, cheerful and quick way to knock up a bit of scenery/building...  use it as a 'proper' painting technique and the results can be stunning.
