28mm vehicle support
« on: 18 December 2014, 11:26:10 PM »
If I was to try and create some modern support vehicles and rotary wing aircraft what scale would I need to us? I'm thinking something like 1/48 for aircraft....am I far off. Thanks in advance Earle

Welcome Earle.

I would go anywhere from 1/48 to 1/56. Which 28mm do you plan to use? This'll help in deciding the scale, as 28mm could be up to 32mm on chunky bases.

New Ray/ Skywaves make a 1/60 Chinook that looks the business. There are a number of 1/55 and 1/48 Blackhawks out there.

I bought a couple diecast metal Mi-24's in 1/60 off ebay for about $20 each.
They call me "Point Cow"
