And now troop carriers - one with necessary radar dish so prevalent on 'command vehicles' in all those cheesy movies...

I have the turrets magnetized so that they will be interchangeable, and if I want to have different turrets later.

Vehicles are some OLD GZG models.  I wish they did better casting with the resin (fair amount of small bubbles) but then these were old enough the resin had turned DARK yellow, so they were probably cast in the early 90's.

Huh, no responses.  Either everyone expects this level of cool from me, and has no comment, or I am really off the charts.  Like, unseen.

Heh.

Anyway, for this project, does anyone have any suggestions for what I can use for civilians for rescuing that match up to Kev's Grymn?  Inso, any ideas?

Excellent work all around. Nice to see how well the various disparate brands of vehicles tie together with a unified paint scheme.

Thanks, Eilif.  I am not done yet either - I have a couple more bizarre ones to use.

I have no idea when or where I got this little number, but I thought I would paint it up.

Seems to be some kind of Chibi-style jet - it had a huge head that I replaced with a pilot head from the Valkyrie.  Not exactly an interceptor with avalanche missiles, but it would do in a pinch.

Brillaint job on the Grymm and the vehicles!

The old GZG vehicles are still available by the way - Daemonscape sells them online and on eBay.

Awesome, it looks like one of those cheap import toys from a variety store. Looks like it's time to widen my scope of what is a good potential vehicle for my squats.

I'm going to use Robogear flyers for mine however.

And now, we go vroom!

And then begin to lumber...

So, the buggies are a couple of scratchbuilds from old metal sentinels, ork buggy wheels, and space marine biker wheels, along with some old squat heads.  The tanks are from Kryomek.

So now, I need to get more Grymn.  I have too many vehicles and not enough infantry.

What a collection!!
I had a chuckle at the chibi jet. lol I have always passed over them before in hobby shops. Not the most conventional force I've seen on LAF, but it looks good and works together Swinegrab. 8)

The beetle walkers are cool too 8) 8)

Cheers
Matt

It it sometimes startling what you can make fit together with a cohesive paint scheme and planned conversions.  I have stuff in here from oddball models, Kryomek, Games Workshop, Hasslefree, GZG, and soon, VOID and Scibor figures.  I don't even have a cohesive plan for what to do you with the figures - I am just building the small army for the hell of it.

:D that's the ticket, and a sure way to have fun. That's how I've ended up with western figs, Nazi halftracks and Disney Cars  ;D

That's pretty much my method though I have several armies growing this way. Depending on what I pick up (always a bargain hunter) I can find a force that it will fit into.

The force looks great together. Agree, the chibi jet gave me a chuckle. :)

Those repainted Star Wars prepaints steal the show in some respects, but there are loads of great ideas here.

The rate of output is pretty impressive too.
