Well we're in at the 'Book' pledge.  I've said this elsewhere but my only concern at the moment is that with both Amy and myself having large forces (Germans and Russian) we don't need/want to start another army but we will obviously want the new mechs/characters/Lost Patrol etc etc. However as it stands with the 'Book' pledge we won't receive any stretch goals or Libby, a bit of a shame for those of us who have already supported SOTR quite a bit.  This may change but I'd have thought they would have had something in place for those of us with forces already from the off?

I know what you mean Giger, but rules only pledges (which includes me) seldom get KS extras like stretch goals (can't think of any offhand that I've seen).
However, I'm also looking forward to the new characters (less so the mechs, though the new RAT concept is great) as it'll be nice to try out some new builds.

They should bring in the options and price them to beef up the income.

Can't see the stretch goals (with mobile).

Andy has stated that the only thing set in the pledges is the rule books at £30 so if you go in at the £79 level you don't need to select a starter set, you can pick £49 worth of anything else.  Also on the pledges with a free mech what they'll do is add £18.50 to the amount you have to spend in the post KS backer shop.
Good times :)

Backed at the rulebook level. I already have 5 SOTR armies, so more minis aren't that enticing.

What I'd like to see in the stretch goals are more OOBs for different nations like Poland, Spain, Italy, ANZACs, NKVD and China. I'd happily pay more money for more depth in the game.

Little bit surprised at how they are running this one. Pretty high number before the stretch goals do anything, short time span, also seems geared mainly at getting people to buy the old figures as starters, and then maybe there will be new armies depending on how much they make. I guess they must be very confident about the enthusiasm level? They have done fairly well, so far. I will be keeping my eyes on it...

Main goal of the kickstarter is the new rule book. So far things are rolling along nicely.

Yes, that seems to be the case. I was a bit surprised as I thought that new figures were in order too. I know there are a few but I was surprised to learn that the US Marines and Japanese are stretch goals and not part of the original KS goal. I also thought we'd see some of the missing figures from SOTR 1 as well. I welcome a reworking of the rules but it doesn't look like we can expect anything 'new' for SOTR until next June. Haven't we waited patiently, long enough? Still, I'm glad it's finally rolling along and hope it smashes lots of stretch goals as well as introducing a few new add-ons.  :)

Here's a rough idea of what's in the German starter pack
Command X1

Rifle squad x2 of these

You also get a HMG team, sorry I've not got a pic.
Cheers
BF
