I'm by no means a fan, but I have always enjoyed The Shadow ever since I first read some comics in my childhood in the 70's and have most of the radio episodes on my computer  . Think the phrase: "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow KNOWS..." is one of the coolest ones ever written
