Earliest use of "Tilly" vehicles?

Just wondering if Tillys are fair game for prewar stuff, as I can't seem to find a start date for the beginning of the programme that led to Tilly production. Was it after the war started or as part of the British pre-war production ramp-up starting in '35-'37?

most seem's to have been based on 1939 civilian models, so, i'll say it was after the beginning of the war

I'm fairly sure they were a wartime idea, utilising existing car production capacity for the war effort. I could be wrong, though.

My dad had a Standard Tilly we used to ride around in back in the 1970s.

I have a bit of an "Unofficial fudge rule" for my interwar equipment, which is that I'll permit myself to use most things that were introduced prior to the war even if they didn't exist yet during my rough date bracket for games (1934-37, usually mentally pegged at '35 for convenience) or were, but were early production/prototypes which would have been effectively unavailable, but will not generally use stuff introduced fully after the proper opening of hostilities. So I turn a blind eye to my Germans being partially armed with MP40's, but StG44s would be right out.
