LordOdo - A World of Ice and Fire: The Wall in the North
« on: 01 February 2015, 07:44:54 PM »
With this theme I could only do one thing, especially as I've an ongoing ASOIAF project.
The ice wall in the north of Westeros! Of course i wont make the whole wall, but just one part.

I've some first sketches, but as I'm not sure how tall I'm gonna make it (It's described as 244 meters to the top, but I don't feel like making it that big) I'll just put some illustrations and pictures from the series for those who are unfamilar with the books or series.

If you're gonna make the part of the wall with the "small door", be sure the door is large enough for a giant to go through it.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

First pics from a while ago already  :D

The basic shape for the wall, and a tower

some sculpted wall decorations, which will be added to the tower:

and some men of the nightwatch, who got fur and cloaks sculpted to them:

The boxes which form the wall will be covered with some plaster, to give it the shape of the Wall and then painted
