Crashed spacecraft?

A couple of years back I got a nice crashed saucer type craft from Black Cat Bases. I think it was only about £10, but I'm not sure what's going on with BCB at present so it may be a hassle to order if you are looking for something in a hurry.

How large is it?  I might take the chance, as I always had good luck with them, but, man, their record lately...

It's maybe about 8 inches across. I think there is a picture on the website. Yeah, right, here we go:

Looks like two versions but I only have the UFO.

Hmm - I saw one that was about 4" in diameter at Petsmart, but never saw one any larger.  I'll look at the Petco down here.

I think the amera one will be the crashed helicopter gunship , it is similar to the macragge shuttle and is only 4 quid

I'd like a footprint of somewhere between 10 and 18 inches in diameter of total space.

I don't mind the GW one, but I am on a budget, and cannot find it for less than $35 (with shipping) - and that is an awful lot for what that is.

I recently bought and disassembled a used Star Wars Millenium Falcon (the BIG toy) mostly for it's interior parts and greebling potential. I'd be happy to break out the dremel and cut you some nice chunks from the hull that would cover the footprint you want and sit nicely at half-buried-angles. All for a very reasonable price.

Oh, I don't disbelieve you - I just have had zero luck, and am not a fan of the look anyway.

I hear you both on luck-with-paper-construction, and how good his looks!

The piccie brings up another idea: the 'copter with the front chopped at an angle, lodged in the face first in the crater, with some damaged engines lying about might pass.

I'd just be inclined to get a tin of Bondo and have at it with a knife and rasp. Maybe use empty shampoo bottles or similar, if I could scrounge such, to mold shapes I could then gob and smooth together to block out a more complex shape. Could probably knock something out very fast that way, and it would be durable as all get out.
