My mate Alan and I are starting our foray into the ECW period but despite the availability of lovely 28mm plastics we have decided to do something a bit different - massed ranks in 6mm!

Excellent start (or finish is it?) sir!   

I've almost gone off 6mm after spending about 6-7 years painting nothing but.  I still dream of ECW 6mm battles, but I decided a while ago that if I did so I'd do huge blocks of men on single bases.  Start by spray painting the base color then very quickly adding bits of color so to get a great mass look rather than good looking units close up.

Its most definitely just the start Fergal!  

Yes, quite a diversion from my usual path V but that was kind of the point to try a new genre, style and scale of gaming than anything I had really done before.  It also worked for me in my current circumstance being devoid of hobby materials because it was all new purchases anyway!        And you'll get yours you roundhead cur!
