Twenty eight months ago I threw some paint on these two blighters. On Monday the 12th of June 2017 General Sir Neptune Blood K.C.B. will lead the 2nd. Malakand Field Force up the Khyber Pass to rescue Doctor Pearson, the world renowned Entomologist, and first cousin of the Widder o' Windsor. It's taken a while to assemble the chaps, but to quote another eminent Englishman...

"Do? Do? We're British. We won't do anything!"

Report from the Column... the hard marching has given everyone a dull and matted appearence.  For his excellence at bayonet drill Private Shytes McGregor is now Sergeant Major Shytes McGregor, a hard but fair taskmaster, in one of the Column's elite Regiments.

Mr Faversham, so focused was I on the snifter in my hand (and getting that paper from Spode!), I neglected to mention the figures look marvelous. Though it must be said that the first photo makes it look like our heroes are in a spot of trouble. Hopefully 'tis a review of the troops and not a repeat of 57'!

Mad Mullah Budbudd Dingding addresses the faithful in the Bongo village square, assuring them that the Infidels bullets will pass right through them and do no harm. This brings about a catastrophic drop in morale. How, shouts one of the faithful, are we going to get into the magic garden and among all them virgins, if the Infidels can't kill us. Quick to appreciate he's loosing his audience Mad Mullah Budbudd Dingding has the dissenter dragged out and instantly beheaded. There's nothing like gouting blood to restore the faithful's enthusiasm... it's of to work we go.
