Latest Commission - Biblical Army
« on: February 24, 2015, 12:23:56 AM »
My latest commission, a biblical army painted using the Army Deal from my site.
The army is meant to be fielded as Hittie troops. I employed the use of many colors from the dreaded "biblical beige block" but i also used some flashes of orange, blue and even purple to add a little flare.

Looking good! And I completely understand with colors. You paint one color, one pattern so long and you want to gouge your eyes out with an x-acto knife. But they look great!

Impressive, I particularly like the skin tones.   8)

YEAH! the beige block is a dread painting zone but like anything else it can be disected and some awesome hues of orange and red can be found in there.

thanks stuart, the best thing about this method is how some things like that happen to just pop at the end. i used mournfang brown by GW for the skin, a single layer over white, and not sparing either. occasionally i would let the paint go on a little thinner for SOME variation within the 100 same skin toned men. The beauty of it is that i figured the dark wash of the ink would just sit on the brown but it was JUST dark enough to give some genuine muscle tone and somehow make any lighter patches just look lovely and hilighted.

Nice work!

thanks man :)

thank you for yor fast reply....
i think i reconized some "Old" Foundry that are small 28mm (to standard of today) but seem to fit very well with the Newline design range (small 28mm too) ! ;)

Great
