the case of Malevolent Mummy
« on: 25 September 2008, 02:36:51 PM »
Wandering around in the Speakeasy forum I found a link for a game named:
"The Case of the Malevolent Mummy". played in the USA.
It has very nice photos, so, I thought that it might be of some interest.

Here is some link:

OK I give in!! o_o How many different teams were there in that game?
I love the market/Bazaar.
Who's game is it? Does anybody know?
I think the battle report of that game would fill a book.

Wow that took a while to set up.  I'm always paranoid somebodys arm will accidentially crush one of my many treasures when I group too many in one place like that.

Very beautiful tho.... :o

That looks like a lot of fun! German troops bossing others around, people falling into dark holes and evil monkeys being executed by British officers. Looks like the ordinary day in the Cairo area...  lol

This was my game.  I posted a writeup after the game over at TMP:

I am glad that everyone likes the pictures.  My buddy (Chip) and I put on two of these games every year at the two shows that HMGS South (our local game club) puts on every year.

The next adventure is scheduled to be "The Case of the Frozen Fragment" next spring.

Oh, and by the way, those figures were the Royal Cairo Metropolitan Police.  Any similarities to other law-enforcement organizations is purely coincidental.

Congratulations Alex.
It looks like it was a superb game. Excellent terrain, market and the egyptian temple looks very nice!
Hope next time to see your game reports here in LAF.

How many figures did you have per side?

the number of figures varied based on the faction.

We rate figures as:
Hero/Mastermind (takes 4 hits)
Sidekick/Henchman (takes 3 hits)
Associate/Minion (takes 2 hits)
Extra (eliminates if hit)

Some factions may have a Hero, sidekick and several Extras, while someone else may have a Hero, sidekick and two associates.  So the short answer is "it depends."

The total number of figures was around 175-200 with the player figures and all of the civilians running around getting in the way.
