Is it fuck  lol

As some of you well know, Bibbles is s LARGE Northern barbarian.
Copplestone did not sculpt any of that type as they tend to take up too much mould space.

Okay, so, I have to break it to you - NONE OF THIS IS REAL...
In case anyone was under any illusions - these are NOT historically accurate depictions of prehistoric troglodytes...  ::)
Copplestone did not sculpt his cavemen with hairy chests... Get over it.
There are plenty of hairy cavemen figures out there. And most are utter shite.
These - disturbingly depiliated as some may find them - are Copplestone sculpts.
How sad we have moved on from button-counting to chest-hair counting :D

Try not to worry about it.

;)

Great progress again, Captain! Still marvelling at the flesh tones – sorry if that's been asked and answered before, but would you mind sharing your recipes?

Looking forward to the painted Lucid Eye Neanderthals. Too bad they're in 'winter dress' while there is – to my knowledge at least – very little choice of cavemen in more 'historically appropriate' dress (no hair-splitting here!). Proper Ice Age skirmishes would be cool, literally… ::)
Anyway, that's not to take away from your project, of course. Good luck with next batch! :)

lol

Thanks Mad Doc.

For the flesh, I use Vallejo red leather, Vallejo dark flesh, and white.
Base layer: 50:50 red leather and dark flesh.
Main coat: add 10% white to the mix.
Highlight coats: gradually add increasing amounts of white. So things like the cheekbones, knuckles, nose tips etc are probably 50% white, 50% red leather / dark flesh mix.

I sometimes use Vallejo Ivory instead of white. It gives a slightly more subtle effect.

All these caveman miniatures also had a very watered-down wash or two of Army Painter 'strong tone' shade between main coat and highlight coats. And again after final highlighting - just to darken the whole appearance down a bit and take the brightness off...

So very nice Captain.  :-*

Hard to believe you will allow those BLAM'ers to lay their grubby paws on these beauties!!

I'd certainly invest in some proxies for the actual game.  ;)

Nice paintin. The fur seems rather rough on the sculpts.

I think the Cap'n is setting the game in the time just before mammoth groomers proliferated in Europe.

It is from the North, so it has to have plenty of fur.
They are proper hairy buggers up there, ya know.
