Did you use sand colours for the lion? I'll soon start painting animals for jungle/savannah/Sahara, and I have been wondering about the yellowish browns of the big cats and the antilopes....

Thanks, everyone. All too kind, really. :)
Argonor, on the lion I used Foundry's Buff Leather set with a final highlight from the Base Sand set. It's comes out a bit darker if not confronted by my lacking photographing abilities. ;)

As JollyBob said, with a small addition: The entwined spear is not included with the original model. But I thought as Master of the Woods he should have some sort of sceptre. ;)

PS: Some of the pics above are only thumbnails. Maybe you have to click on them or follow the link to my blog to see them in a more appropriate size.

Bitchin' way cool!  I've now added your blog to my favorites.

I'm trying to figure out how you were able to insert the photos between the text blocks.

Keep up the great work.

As for me, I haven't painted anything in over a year.  I have 13 Artizan Fallschirmjager half done.

October will be better.

Very appreciated, Angry Angel! No magic there, just upload your pics on the blog and pull them (point-and-click) into position where you want them. Even a complete PC fool like me could do it, you should be able! :)

Hmmm, well, its not letting me pull them into place within the text of the blog itself.  See what I mean here:

http://4sparta.blogspot.com/

It just allows me to move photos around, but only as separate photo spaces.  I'll keep fooling around with it but it doesn't look like yours.

That Menelaus is simply splendid!
Don't get me wrong. The other figures are nothing less than very good but that one really stands out IMHO.
