Hi All,

Last update before I get this project finished up, I'm planning on painting this weekend!

Got the hull rivets done, the hatch is sorted and the barbettes (my mate says casemates is the correct term!) are almost done...

I also added four tow points to the front and rear plates and a couple of hooks to hold a tow chain on the rear plate!

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks for all your comments they're much appreciated!

Well the 'landship' has been painted and assembled...I'll let this all dry for 48 hours and then I'll dry brush some highlights. After that I'll allow evertything a week to dry completely then it'll get a very thin wash to bring out the details...once that's done I'll fill the coal scuttle, add rigging, add flags and place the tow chain. It'll be ready to rumble!

I'll put a full build Post up on my Blog soon with more build pictures and including the initial design drawings.

Cheers!

Very nice work. You make it look so simple and also make me realise hoarding can be a good thing lol

No name? Just a number? Must be Prussian! ;->=

I know it's a bit late, but with tow chains and fastenings to the hull, maybe some bumpers are in order?

A friend built a Squat Land Train (I know, never existed, I must be burnt for heresy!) from a Maus and three Armored Train cars, and I really wished he could have found some matching bumpers for the back of the Maus.

Hey Beast funny you should mention trains and bumpers, I was actually thinking of making up and adding some of those bump stoppers like train carriages have but then thought that can be on the next landship I build :o !

Kathryn thought Pandora would be good for the name as by building this I've openned up a 'box of trouble' as more will probably follow...now who was that EBay seller with the wagon wheels...

But, won't you need them on them all?  :D
