Wargods of Olympus - rulebook arrived
« on: March 21, 2015, 01:04:01 PM »
Wargods of Olympus is Crocodile Games ambitious project to offer a second gameline.
Themed around the classical Greek Gods and Mythology. I received some preview minis back in 2003 or 2004. In 2013 they restarted the whole endeavor and funded their successful Kickstarter.

I pledged high and have to say that my trust in Fitz and his crew was not misplaced, high quality miniatures as expected.  8)
The first I painted of the new minis are two of the equally huge and fantastic Automatons.

Taurandron (Minotaur, a huge 7cm big “mini”) and Khalkotaur (a mechanical Bull)

I am still waiting for mine to arrive, but they look every bit as great as I expected and are well worth to wait for, just like the others.
Your painting in the different metal tones - absolutely hits the mark I think.

Thanks for sharing

Thomas

Just got mine this week and i have to agree they are amazing pieces. Will be pledging for more when i have the money spare. The Corinthians art work looks good to me.Need to also get the Cyclopes,Hydra and Harpies too.

The Demi-Gods are some of the best pieces i have seen in ages.Hades and Hecate are truly amazing pieces.

Great work on painting these pieces.

And more...
Burnt some midnight oil and finished Hephaestus in two days.  8)
(Do you also experience this? Some minis are on the table for years, while others are assembled and painted within hours or days?)  :o

The Hephaestus miniature is a stunning work, fitting in style to the Automatons; consequently I painted him in a very similar way as the two Automatons. And being the god of metalwork I gave him a metal laurel...

The mini is highly detailed. The most impressive detail for me was the small battle scene on his right shoulder guard. Two warriors are fighting a centaur!

And a group shot:
