My Very British Civil War
« on: March 27, 2015, 06:58:55 PM »

Despite all of the best intentions, it looks like I have taken up a new period! (or is it just Fantasy which I've done for a while).
I've started work on some troops for A Very British Civil War to go with our new range of photo-realistic buildings.
First up, some infantry from the West Riding Legion of BUF. They started life as PSC Russian Infantry with a few head swaps with some Wargames Factory Late War Germans.

I will be putting a hobby page together for this project to chart the growth of my BUF and Socialist Militia armies together with the development of the town, for now the photos are in the same gallery as the 1930's building: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Terrace-/-Semi-28mm-Photo-Realstic-Kit

Excellent start!  8)

Happy to follow your progress with this. And of course keen to see new additions on the building side of things as well.

Looks good, but far too clean for the West Riding.
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Well, the West Ridding is a very big place, Ilkley for example has many very clean and tidy areas!

Anyway.... next up is a Pub... hopefully it will be released in the next couple of days.

True enough.
Was thinking more of the gritty heartland of Cleckhuddersfaxley....

Work continues on our 1930's buildings... Some Socialist Militia advance to confront the BUFers milling around outside the pub!

... and we have also added Pub, Gardens, Yard and removable 1st floors to buildings.

"Cleckhuddersfaxley"

Not sure when I heard it first, but I used to work across there many years ago.

This is the Pub kit with an alternative name board, my local in Melmerby. We are letting the first 10 customers to buy the pub nominate their own pub sign to be added to the downloadable textures.

10 Armed Housewives (from Blind Beggar) join the Tilkley Socialist Militia in it's epic struggle against the West Ridding BUFfers.
Figures have been re-mounted onto Sally 4th Crytal Clear bases and are posing for the camera in front of some Sally 4th photo realistic terrain. More photos at : http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/epages/950003459.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950003459/Categories/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain
