India SYW -Battle of Bungapat
« on: April 02, 2015, 01:53:09 AM »
Here is a few pictures of my  annual India game at the SYW.,con in South Bend Indiana last weekend. Two day battle .players coming and going, using Currycorne variant of Tricorne. Object for the british East India co., to capture the Bungerites and their ldr., Ken Bunger. The game went back and forth for two days using many troops ,mostly sepoy and native,w/random event caes grawn each turn. In the end the 89th Munro Highlanders drew and extra whisky ration card ,fixed bayonets ,though at half strength went thru Lally's Irish remnants, french sailors and were over the wall ,and captured Ken Bunger and his followers...game over ..to be continued next year.

That's a good point. The major selling point for me is that I get to use my FIW French and British figures as the basis for my armies, without having to start from scratch. And I get to have elephants! I have got a good number of Darkest Africa Zanzibari and Afgan Hill tribes that will get pressed into service too, until I get more suitable figures.

Eureka are a good scource for Mysorean,Bengali and Hindi infantry. along with Rajput cav. under their Galconda rising section in Colonials . Indus Miniatures -makes Maharatta infantry and cav.,rocket batteries, big ntive guns and gun crews,Pindari cav.,Shilapoosh bodyguards, elephants w/ variety of riders. They also make french and british sepoys two varietys each. Both great guys to work with.

Wonderful, wonderful wonderful!

100% behind the comments on a few bits of substitution and overlooking whether the buttons should be gold or silver.

Thanks for sharing,
