Ooh I like those. I prefer the one with the bit of colour added.

Very nice work!  8)

I also like the second one best; the monochrome solution works best with those icons, which are nifty. If you want colour, I'd suggest a very thin coloured line in the border, specific to each type of wizard instead of colouring the icons.

Not to steal Daeothar's thunder.

Hey, so far there hasn't even been lightning yet, so feel free...  :D

I was just worrying about the text, planning on using a mail merge as I am good with them, but the logo on the back would be nice.

Avery printable business cards seem the best way to proceed, they are 85 × 54mm in size so can you get card sleeves to fit them? I know from bitter experience that card sleeves come in all sorts of different sizes - and Fantasy Flight have the sense to colour code theirs.

Looking at the Board Game Gurus website I see there are some that might do:
Fantasy Flight (green) 57mm x 89mm
Mayday 56mm x 87mm

It is almost a pity that I finish work on Friday before going on holiday as this is a job for the colour laser printers there.

You might want to leave the casting number blank. Wizards from different schools will have different casting values. Also, the value can change through a campaign if your wizard puts levels into improving their ability with a given spell.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Thanks for the tip. I have just been going by the spells pdf since I do not have the rulebook.

Great cards! The second is best.

I'd skip the black borders, though. (If not else because it saves ink.)
And a little more margin between the text and border makes it easier to read.

The school icon is great to have.

54x85mm is a good size - not quite standard CCG size, but still common.
Green FFG and Arcane Tinman size, as well as many others. (Not Ultra-Pro though, I think.)

I'd anyhow use collector pages with room for nine standard cards. My own spellbook containing whatever spells I have at the moment, sorted by the most commonly used spells first.

One of the advantages of living in Nottingham, is that on days working from home I can jump in my car at lunchtime and go and see Nice Mr Nick Northstar...

Oooh, what's this

What's in the box?

Frostgrave HUZZAH!

All the world's resin bits

Chronomancer

Bonus Templar and the Treasure chest

Plastic soldiers

(The knight is in there somewhere too, just didn't take a picture)

Pleased to report there weren't any other Frostgrave Nickstarter boxes lying about the place, they all went in the post already, so the rest of you should get them in the next day or two.

It all looks great and I'm very happy with it all, thanks Nick and the guys.
Looking forward to a proper unboxing later, but for now, back to work.

I like having the base casting number on the cards.  Then you can do quick mental math to adjust the number based on your caster's school or spell improvement.  The way you've done it gives us a nice baseline to work from.  But either way, good work!

I am splitting off the Spell Card topic in order to keep things focused and not clutter up this thread with discussion of design and edits. Plus it will make it easier to track :D
