The Wolfman 2009
« on: October 03, 2008, 05:48:10 PM »
A remake of the classic 1940 film The Wolfman is being released in spring 2009.
It stars Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins.

Here's the official website:

There is a trailer floating about on the web, which looks pretty cool.

Looking forward to this, particularly as they have gone back and set it in Victorian times. :)

The original version from 1940 was set in the "then current" times if I recall correctly.

Still, looking forward to seeing this.

Universal have bought up the rights to loads of old B&W horror movies, so we may be able to expect a Dracula, Frankenstein and many more on the way too!

There was talk of them being used in Hellboy movies, as background monsters, but sadly thats not come to pass.... Yet  ;D

I think they bought the Hammer Back Catalogue as well, so it could be interesting what they make of those!

This looks sweet.

I miss the days of great "period" horror movies.  I really was fond of all the old Hammer Horror movies.   It warms my cold little heart to see one being reborn.

Ah, the great days of cinema - Christopher Lee as Dracula, Michael Caine shooting Zulus and Kenneth Williams in the Carry Ons!

Good old 1960s!    :D
