Fistful of Seamen. The adventure of the Titan's Uranus!
« on: 11 April 2015, 12:54:38 AM »
Wherin I endeavor to present a mostly complete accounting of the bold voyages of the HMS Titan's Uranus at Adepticon 2015.   Marvel as she bests the wicked Spaniards and devious French, triumphs over mutiny and pirates and even survives the dread ghost ship and the fearsome Kraken!

An excellent game put on by admirable people resulting in much merriment for the lucky participants.

Is that a Junk tied up at the wharf? If so, who makes that or is it a scratchbuild?

I believe it is and I'm not sure who makes it.  All the ships I saw appeared to be models.  Some I think we recognized as Old Glory.  In the first sentence of the blog post I link to the game creator's blog. He could probably tell you where it's from.

You'll be pleased to know then that we gave a good thrashing to the "Elk Hunt" before she withdrew.

Almost all the ships had these kind of names.

Elk Hunt  lol sorry...

There are a few images on the FFoS blog of a Barbary type corsair ship, a xebec (the one with white and green sails).

Would love to know where they got that ship from - she be a beauty!

Sometimes I wonder if this game's onky purpose is to provide oppotunities to come up with even more outrageously double-entendrish names for the actual games played than the actual name of the game itself  lol

WOW I am so jealous.
We had talked about running this type of game at BLAM. I hope this is the inspiration we need.
Any idea where the rules came from?
How can I get a copy?

Glad you folks liked it.

GamerMac,
The Fistful of Seamen rules are a homebrew set by the folks who put on the game.  You'd probably have to contact them. I linked to their blog at the top of my AAR.
