In a word, NICE!

I especially like the Ogre with his fantastic mustache, and the paladin with her no-nonsense attitude and refreshing lack of boob-plate armour.

Will these minis be part of the same kickstarter as the others in this thread?

Thanks!

The ogre yes. The other ranges, namely the gobbos n' women will need more work and will be part of a 2016 KS.

His pistols started their existence as Persian camel cannons. The rest is still WIP.

THIS IS JUST BEYOND AWESOMNESS!!
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

FWIW, regarding the resin, I have been pretty impressed with the samples I got. The swords and such seem relatively rigid but flexible, and the detail is great.  The figures have withstood some light handling by 4 and 2 year old boys, and nothing has broken off so far. Its not like the figures have been stomped on, but they may have been clashed against some other miniatures in a 'pew pew' fashion a few times.

I have not tried any conversions, but that sure as hell would be easier to work with than metal.

Those goblins definitely have my attention. I'm at something of an impasse regarding which range of goblins I should buy and build a skirmish warband out of. There are so many different styles from different manufacturers, but each range is missing something that the other ranges have. Those WIPs are in a style that I really like, so I'm hopeful.

That definitely sounds encouraging. I'm more accustomed to the inflexible, brittle sort of resin that shatters and chips when I try to cut it. In fact, resin that behaves more like hard plastic is something I've never really had first-hand experience with, so now I'm really looking forward to receiving my samples (thanks again, Schrumpfkopf!) as it'll be a new material for me.

That is very impressive. I think a spot in my paint queue just opened for a paladin.

To be honest I'm a bit jealous of this project. I'm fond of the old citadel halflings myself and had vague ideas about expanding them, complete with ogre allies and sheep/goat cavalry! I guess it shows the difference between sitting around thinking and going about doing. :-X :)

Looking forward to the KS.

I am pretty sure that there's lots and lots of ranges that are under served and that would make for fun projects!

Really like the paladin and Ogre

Great paladin.

Also, I've not had any problems with the resin. In fact, I've usually got mixed feelings on resin, but the sample figures were great & easy to work with.

I am really happy with these figures being in resin. They are a pleasure to paint!

I just received my samples and can only say... wow! The material is a lot like hard plastic in regard to flex (not prone to snapping like some other resins) and the way it cuts, but like white metal in regard to crispness of detail. I genuinely hadn't ever come across resin like this before. I now understand that my view of resin as a casting material has been outdated - the good stuff is really good.

My only complaint to Schrumpfkopf is that there are practically no mould lines on the sample figures. What is a hobbyist to do with no mould lines to remove? ;)

Thanks again, Schrumpfkopf! You're certainly being generous and proactive in making sure customers will be confident in the material.

Juan: Love those paintjobs!
