Oh, man. Out of scale in awesomeness :-* :-*. Pretty clever kitbashing, now I see the Slaughterpriest with another eyes, hmmm.

...The standard of painting on those is honestly pretty low...

Please, people, someone tell something to this man.

I agree, I don't think even my best gets that close to those.

Wow! What a great gang! As has been said, the red lights really stand out and make them pop! 8)

I really want to thank you all ! It's always nice getting a warm feedback on a project you've struggled with.
I know I've kept saying the standard is low on these guys and all and I don't want to sound like I'm being falsely humble.
It's just that I've taken some shortcuts I usually don't take like drybrushing instead of edge highlights, highlights not blended into each other in favour of visible brushstrokes. Let's say I've aimed for less time consuming tricks for a more organic and nervous look. They were painted with tabletop distance in mind so they do work as a group, they won't survive comparison with other models at closer distance.
It's nice to dig that zone though since it teaches me ways to cut corners and save time for some projects. There's a bit to learn every day. ^^

Its always a trade off. I can turn out a decent enough miniature if I paint them one at a time and take days doing it but when your painting 100+imperial guard for any army the standard invariably drops they look good in a bunch but close up individually not so nice. Having said that your short cut quick style is pretty close to my 2 weeks one miniature top finish  :?

I really like the look of them. Where are the various helmets from?

Those are pretty darn good, and I'll echo the comments on painting - your benchmark is evidently very high...  It's the conversions that really do it for me though - making them your own, whilst everything still fits naturally together, which is where I often struggle.

Oh man, those are so good I just went and bought a Scions bitz bundle to make my own versions. I don't even know how they'll fit as a faction in my worldbuilding, but you've given them such character I just have to have some of my own!  :-* :-*

Man they look great.

Next time, say speed painting instead of low standards or I'll throw some colorful Québec swear words at you you arrogant French painter!

Thanks you all once again, for the kind words for the Show legion, I didn't expect such a warm response to them but it really boosts one's mojo to see that !

Now for something slightly different, i've decided to paint some of Macrocosm's new scavengers to bulk up my undead ranks :

They're Adam Gayford sculpts and have been a joy to paint. The sculpts are nervous and simple enough to be very pleasant and yet fast to paint. From what I've understood, these are just 5 of a more bigger set so have a look at the first sets (limited numbers) on Macrocosm' site before the Kickstarter airs.

While I was at it, I finished a few mantic zombies I had around and which I forgot to paint when I did the first 8...

Which makes my collection of space undead a but more menacing now :

You can read more about them and my plans in the associated blogpost as usual.
