Great rendition of GIs.  I think the colors are spot on!

I like the BT fellas too.  One of my wargaming buddies gave me several of them.  Been fitting them into my units as appropriate/needed/wanted.
Yeah BT are alright, nice to paint, I collect 1/72-20mm but if I were to start 28mm I’d  go with Empress though, I’m a Paul Hicks fan.

Yup...I’m leaning towards Empress too.  These aren’t half bad though.

I've got some of the empress US boys already painted up.  Gotta paint up another squad of them sometime.

Got an Empress British platoon waiting in the wings, as well.

And I never got into 20mm WW2.  20mm AWI, War of 1812, Vietnam, and neo-modern, yes.  But for some reason, not WW2.

I know.  They are great figs.  But as my glasses get stronger, the figs I paint get bigger.;)
Started in 15mm.  Then 20mm.  Now it's 28mm...

Hi guys

I recently received a birthday present of 3 x 1/72 modell trans modellbau Renault D-2 kits, from a long time customer and friend, which has given me the incentive to restart this stalled project, here’s some pics of where I’m at, have to dust of the infantry and construct the D-2s, finish some conversion work on my 3D printed vehicles, then break out the air gun.

 Hi guys

A mate of mine was struggling with this kit, so I gave it a go for him, was certainly a tricky little build, for anyone wanting to build this kit, I’d suggest doing some research first, there are several parts and areas that need a bit of work to fit, but with a little work it’s turned into a nice little model, this model will be Rommels 7th Pz Div ride for a wargaming force and will end up panzer grey, so just going with a basic build, no extra details.

Oof, turned out well, but damn indeed, that sprue is full of fiddly bits.

Thanks Fenton

Hi guys

Have constructed 5 modell trans modellbau D2 tanks, 3 late and 2 early, for my 1940 French, these have lovely details, there was some breakage, of some guns and fenders, however each kit has the option of either an early or late turret, so I had spare weapons, and I saved most of the broken fenders by just gluing them back on.

There maybe an accuracy issue with the kit, you are provide 6 return rollers per kit, however every reference pic I have looked at shows 4 return rollers each side, so 8 all up, but this should be a fairly easy fix, I’ve added some pics with a Trumpeter Char B1, and Heller S35 (tan) and S-models S35 (green)  to show all the tanks I have with the same turret, the trumpeter Char B1 and modell Trans turrets are very close in detail, the Heller turret is the worst of the lot, with some shape issues, but close enough for government work, I’m really happy with these.

 Hi guys

As I’ve returned to 1/72 WWII, I’ve realised I have a LOT of shelf queens, I usual complete vehicles in batches, the problem is if I get distracted I can end up with lots of half finished kits, so I have decided to start finishing some shelf queens one kit at a time, I’ve randomly chosen to start with an Sd.Kfz. 7/1, it’s the common Hasagawa kit, I’ve replaced the barrels with brass, as I made this kit 6-7 years ago, I can’t remember what barrels I used, but I bought them at least 15 years ago, I also replaced the moulded plastic mesh sides with a suitable mesh material, not sure what happened to the steering wheel, I’ll have to find a replacement, figs are AB.

Painted with an airbrush, probably with Humbrols, this vehicle will go to my KG Danl project.

Very nice. That's going to look cracking with crew added, and the replacement barrels make a huge difference.

Yeah, the thick kit barrels really make the original kit very ugly, and in my opinion unusable, I wouldn’t make another without another replacement.

Hi guys

A bit of work done on the 1/72 Hasagawa Sd.Kfz 7/1, oil pin wash, and some chipping added, and figures started.

Really impressive, now I want one in 28mm..  :)   The real challenge I have found in the past in 28 is getting crew that look the right scale compared to the vehicle and yet aren't so small they look ridiculous next to 'standard' 28mm infantry.
