Some RT/PA/whatever skirmish stuff off the workbench today:

Alien Explorer (Deep Wars?), Space Zombie (Hasslefree?) and Space Orc.

The alien will make a nice NPC or ally for skirmish games, I love the base it came with, almost nicer than the rest of the mini put together.

Got some plans for the Space Orcs that I need to get down on paper before I go too far with the painting, pretty happy with the new colour scheme I've done though.

Space zombie has some friends in the pipeline, more fluff to write up there too...

Had this guy sitting on my workbench for ages and finally blitzed through it last night:

Saurian IFD with Rocket tubes and HMGs. Used to support infantry squads, the IFD is lightly armoured and reasonably fast, but requires a stable-boy in the motor pool.

Mechs and SWTs on the painting table now.

I am really loving this guy. His miner hat with search light is killer.
Keep up the great work.

Ever finish something and have to fist pump the air in triumph? I had one of those moments last night.  8)

The Saurian Command Brontosaur is the ultimate weapon in the SAS arsenal. Bristling with machine guns, the battle-howda is primarily the housing for a command and control desk which enables the Saurians to manage troop deployments, call in orbital strikes and coordinate communications on the front lines. If the SCB is on the front lines, the Saurians are bringing everything they have to bear against the enemy.

Are these all toy store or $2 shop dinosaurs? Or any Tamiya ones mixed in (particularly the brontosaurus)?

The big bronto is an expensive toy from Collect-A, I think it set me back over $30. The others are cheapies from the Chinese $2 stores around Melbourne's east.

Thanks for the kind feedback folks!

Finished the first of my cheap Votoms:

Merc for scale.

Loving how these are turning up, just wish I'd bought six instead of five, both Warpath and 40K would use them in teams of three!

Ok, so it's been a couple of months, but there is still progress!

Saurian Veteran Sharpshooters.
The best sharpshooters are given heavier caliber weapons capable of punching through power armour and light vehicle armour. This makes them a tad less mobile on the battlefield, so they can usually be seen tank-riding.

Saurian HMG Team

Saurian HMG Team
This is one of my favorite pieces in the army so far; I had an idea in my head and it turned out perfectly the first time.

A handful of specialists, characters and vehicles left and then I'm done! Unless I buy more stuff.  ;D

Two updates within a week? You spoiled people you!  ::)

The galaxy is a dangerous place, full of dangerous killer plants. Can't have an alien jungle planet without killer plants!

More orks! May be doing some 40k skirmishing with them later in the year, but I wanted to try out a new colour scheme that was a bit more "military".

Ork Mech/Civilian Contractor, Nob and Tankbuster.

Bosspole and two Boys, or Ork Mechanised Infantry as I prefer to call them.
