Help with Flickr

I took some new photos yesterday and want to post them to the forum at the usual 800 width but Flickr seems to have changed and is only allowing me to show them this big:



Any bright ideas?

The address you tried to hotlink looks like this:

Which appears to be a page url of sorts, which cannot be embedded using the IMG tags. You would need to find the direct address of the file, which should include a file type extension, e.g. end with .jpg if it’s a JPEG.

Edit: I checked the link and it seems not to let me extract the file address. Maybe it's possible for you as the uploader to retrieve it - Photobucket makes it easier to do, and I seem to recall flickr being more tricky to access the actual file.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the quick response.  I usually just right click on the picture and get the properties but it's not doing that for me at the moment and I can't seem to find out how to do it.  I'll have a few more tries and resort to Photobucket if not!

No problem finding a link.
just click a pic and then click share (the Arrow) in the lower right corner.
you need to select BBcode, copy the entire line and paste it in your message.
I believe this is one of yours

Hey!  Well done and thanks.  I tried Flickr again but it was refusing to allow me to share, so I've restarted with photobucket.  Many thanks for the swift advice.
