I once tried a uniform on for my wife, never again i looked like something out of shameless or benefit street  o_o
The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.

Depending on the uniform, many people would. :)

I'd like to do a costume, a kind of Steampunk Queen's officer, for myself. Pith helmet, tunic, and some kind of skirt, to try to capture the style of Victorian uniforms and Steampunk fashion. :)

Off topic Warning:  :P

Well I am in the process of angling for a hussar outfit.
My good lady and daughter have got their Regency dresses sorted out and I of course need something to match.
Not sure I have the figure for it though being more 6ft square than tall and lean.
May have to be more of a regimental farrier or somesuch :)

Think mine was a superman outfit, kind of looked like a idiot wearing underpants on the outside, love to dress up as a 1864 Brunswick cavalry officer with them skull and crossbones, yea love to see those pics gustav of your family in outfits.

:) A Brunswick Cavalry officer will be awesome! Photos from you, as well!

And - Halloween this year I'll either be Jem or Applejack, and I'm not afraid of looking silly as either. XD

Well have not got the costume yet - still persuading the powers that be.  But, if I do it would be the full rig or nothing.

Mind you I have to say they do not come cheap and my wife is not as keen to make one for me as she was to make the dresses :)
So I may have to be a civilian in the end.

Gustav, I'd guess they are quite expensive. What if you did Victorian-era Mess Dress as an alternative?

Although I am sure the mess dress would be very spiffing (role play there  :)), I think that it would be too late for what we had in mind - which is more Napoleonic / Regency period.
AFAIK there was no specific mess dress back then.  Happy to stand corrected though ....

Full rig or nothing? Suggest you don't go with the nothing option as you may get arrested!!! ;)

If all else fails you could always dress as a Ja' liyin tribesman--refreshingly breezy as well as kind on the pocket book!
