Indian fighting at Fort Meigs
« on: 22 May 2015, 04:27:23 AM »

A wagonload of women and children scramble for the safety of the blockhouse as Indian raiders close in

I ran my Ohio Frontier Aflame game twice at Fort Meigs last weekend. Fort Meigs is a reconstructed War of 1812 fort at Perrysburg, Ohio. The 8-player games used my Song of Drums and Tomahawks rules. Both games were a success and all players seemed to have a great time. What's better, they could look out the window as they were playing and see the palisades and blockhouses of Fort Meigs...doesn't get any more atmospheric than that!

There were some views of Ft Meigs on TV up here in Canada last night. They were doing the War of 1812 in an hour and Harrison v Proctor got about 3.5 minutes.

The weekend of the big reenactment always turns out to be a bad one for me. I really want to make it up for one of those.
