Impressive

I suspect you'll be implementing a Dewey decimal system to keep track of what's in the drawers!

You could use the drawers on the right of the picture as a support for a further table extension!  ;D

I've moved 90%+ of my miniatures into their new home and the painters have arrived.

Do they use drybrushing and washes or did you request careful layering for proper highlights?

For the money I'm paying I'm expecting 'connoisseur standard' with proper blending.

Undercoating's nearly done.

The walls are having a green stain to allow the wood to show through and the first coat of that doesn't really show up. The windows and doors are going to be the green you can see.
Now, I can wield a brush with a certain amount of precision, but these guys are free handing next to the glass with huge brushes (relative to my 0s and 00s) and not missing a stroke.
Mad skillz as we say.

Looking smart - hope the weather stays good for the painting - its gone well cloudy up North

Can't believe you have nearly filled those drawers already - and added lots more! Get those foundations built up!!

I haven't filled them.
I've transferred about 40 drawers worth of stuff from old metal units that I'm going to bin and kept my existing plastic ones (the small grey units of which I have 9 in total). I have 40 or so of the new thin drawers still empty and 10 of the new larger drawers with nothing in them.

What I have been able to do is spread stuff out so that if an army only fills half a draw I can leave it at that and not need to fill the space with other stuff which is what I was doing up until now because space was at a premium.
Even when each drawer has something in it (and that won't be for many years I hope) I'll still have 'compression' room where I can start doubling up again and filling in the gaps.

I've pretty much reached a stable amount of stuff any way. I've noticed that I get rid of armies and scenery now as I complete new projects and I lose interest in the older things where previously I kept everything.

Time will tell :)

The colouring in is finished, just a bit of drying time and I can recommence transferring stuff.

I went out today and bought a pair of bookcases from the local British Heart Foundation shop (where my table came from) as the 2nd of my original ones still hasn't arrived from Germany. I'm going to send the one from my original order back, so much for Teutonic efficiency :(
