1/24e Regiment de Ligne - Talavera

Hi all,
The 24e Regiment de Ligne is very representative of the veteran French battalions led into the Iberian Peninsula by Napoleon in 1808. These troops had taken part in the campaigns of the glory years between 1805-07 and remained in Spain when their Emperor departed to take care of a looming war with Austria.

Great looking units for the Peninsular! 

for some reason the Peninsular campaigns hold more interest for me than the others..... I really don't know why (I am by no means anywhere near an expert!)
