I do like those those Eureka minis, tempted to get some of the Aden Brits in bush hats to do as 1960's RLI.
Good job on the painting. Only 'rivet counter' observation: RAR would have had black boots, & if going for a post '76 look camo'd weapons

Hi guys

My first modern platoon sized skirmish project (might use modern chain of command), an Infantry platoon for my central African imagi-nation, The democratic republic of Botswalia, figures were converted from Italeri's 1/72 plastic Vietcong, Warsaw pact, and US special forces bodies with various US M1 helmet heads, added cargo pockets on their pants, various packs/pouches, scratch built some machetes, I have given all the leaders beret heads, which I will paint either red or green.
Not sure what camo I will use, thinking of using several cammos, maybe 70% Rhodesian or British  denison smock, and 30% another 2 different camos, any suggestions? maybe US woodland and soviet sun bunnies? maybe a tigers stripe pattern? i'de like something with a majority bright green, I want them to look a little irregular but professional.
Thinking I will be able to use them in scenarios from the 70s to today, vehicles will be a mix of British (former British colony, Britain continued to supply) and soviet (captured from wars with neighbours)
I"m also making a ultra modern US and Russian forces and a local communist style guerrilla enemy.

Hi guys

Have undercoated my Democratic Republic of Botswalia converted figures, the undercoat has pulled these figures together, I'm liking how they are turning out. All comments welcome.

 Hi guys

Was recently talking to a friend about his 15mm AK47 project, which encourage me to dig my 1/72 1960-70 Central African project out of the stash, have done the basic paint job, and done an oil wash, when dry I will start on the highlights. Figures are converted from the Italeri 1/72 Vietcong and US special forces sets.

Nice!  Well done, both on the paint job, and the resurrection of these chaps...

 Hi guys

I’ve finished the Democratic republic of Botswalian regular infantry platoon, (all converted plastics) I tried to get a central Africa jungle vibe with the basing, fairly happy with how they turned out, tried giving them a matte varnish with Vallejo, I’m a big fan of Vallejo, but their Matte varnish isn’t great, a little glossy still, I also 3D printed a few vehicles, not sure if they will be for Botswalia or for their enemies, we will see, given them a red brown base coat, they will be 3 tone, red brown, green and sand camo. The vehicles are Bergmann STL, free of thingyverse, they are great at 1/100, but the detail starts getting a bit chunky at 1/72, I could spend a couple of weeks trying to re detail them, but I wanted to see how they would print, I might do some work on the next batch before printing, sort of got exited with this batch, just wanted to start painting.

 Hi guys

Got the base coat down on the Botswalian vehicles, pretty happy with these colours, pretty quick and easy Tamiya rattle can, blue tac mask job, they’ll get a very heavy weathering.

 Hi guys

Have started the weathering on these 3 vehicles, state of the art vehicles provided by the USSR, for the democratic republic of Botswalia army (East Botswalia) for use against the French/US backed Constitutional republic of Botswalia forces (west Botswalia) to try and secure the contested unobtainium mines.
A bit of weathering to do, some oil streaking and pastels then finish of with some bases.
