Of course it should have a centre pole, and some poles supporting the flap (which should be more curved)....

I dunno, I wish I could find something similar as a model....

Thanks, maybe you're right, I should just batter and weather it, then put it on a small base with the poles in place....

Yeah, I could scan it and send/upload it, if anyone would like it

I made a template of one side on 5mm squared paper, here I used the grid as guide for precision, so it is very easy to copy. I then trace the template onto the paper I want (any colour could be used, I guess) 4 times, sides aligned/touching, add some glueing tabs freehand and cut it out.

The fine folks at RLBPS here in the Midwest USA offer a relatively inexpensive tent by Frontline Miniatures. (on the right in the picture below)

I purchased three, painted them khaki and use them for safaris, adventures and archaeologicl digs. They're getting rather smelly, as my bearers refuse to scrub them but at least they keep us dry.

The other products are likewise of use and value.

Just thought I'd put in my two-cents worth -- for what it's worth.

Oh, it's nice, too - I just have my mind set on one of those flap-things (I remember from the BBC-series about Egypt, in the episode about Carter searching for (and finding) the tomb of Tut that he had a table and some chairs under a large tent-flap.... I would like to minick that...

Argonor: I did a bunch with a bandage from a first aid kit. If I can find a pic... unfortunately they aren't painted yet. But all you do is cut the bandage and place it on top of a cardboard structure with PVA. Relatively easy. If I can get a pic up soon I will show you!

I'm using a 1/48th scale Verlinden tent . I think its really a M.A.S.H version .
I must take a better photo of it and stick it in my Displaced Minis Mummy album one day.
