The Rescue of Charlie Hickman, the Earl and the Mummy
« on: 22 June 2015, 10:32:56 PM »
I had meant to post these sometime ago but as usual got side tracked into other projects. But since my previous post about the Earl of Lonsdale we have had two further adventures. The first of these saw Justice Blackborough aka 'the Mask' carry out a daring rescue of Charlie Hickman one of his faithful henchmen. The second had the Earl and the Fops attempt to ambush and stop the Ruffians in the local cemetery, only to find some other surprises waiting for them. As usual i'll put a few teasers here but the full story and more in on my blog at

http://wargamesinthedungeon.blogspot.com you can search for all the adventures under IHMN

That's a nice big board you have. I would not mind trying a large table myself. Does it make shooting too important? Is fog de rigueur? The backboard with the sky is a nice touch.

Thanks for the feedback. Both these companies have characters with high level shooting skills, marksman, hunting rifle etc... The Earl himself skills gained hunting in Africa and for the ruffians a Russian ex military sniper called Smirnov, they are both quite powerful. We've found lots of terrain and or fog just stops them from sitting at the back and picking the enemy off. The table is only 4x4' so not too large for companies of around 220 points.
