Hello folks and freaks

I actually got excited to open a brand new unwrapped box of king Arthur set from Dragon lords series

i tried to brush them with an old toothpaste but nothing came off.

Looks like lead rot.  Here is an article.  http://www.georgerrmartin.com/for-fans/knights/comments-on-collecting/  You will find several other articles by searching for the term "Lead Rot".  Can be fatal to the miniature but the author of the link has his version of a cure all.  You might check other sites out for other solutions.  Hope that helps.

Grenadier can be terrible for that. I've used thin superglue to completely seal figures like that....can only hope for the future  >:(

Is it possible, that this might also be induced with the tin of the metal box? Like this electro-physical thing of classy and not-classy metal?* Like iron will oxidate more easy when there is cupper around?

* don't know the English term for this
best wishes
