Crusader Norman
« on: July 17, 2015, 08:12:37 AM »
A mate gave me some of his unpainted Normans from a army he had completed.

I found I had some LBM transfers - so had to paint one.

Now trying to stay focused on what I should be painting - and not get distracted with another project.

Lovely brushwork!  :-*

Really like the basing too.

I'd say you need to be distracted and paint a nice Norman army - helpful, I know!!  lol

Nicely done. Just need another 16 and you've got a SAGA army...

I have achieved a bit more with the painting of the Normans

A nearly finished unit of cavalry (the one on the left will be making the appropriate clip clop noises)

And six archers

Hoping the momentum will continue.

So another week and have finished a few more for this army - and managed to get a few more figures during the week from a friend in exchange for some painting - so the army continues to grow with  not a dollar being spent so far.

Only went I took the photo did it click the previous 6 archers were on 2mm high not 3mm high bases as per these figures -not sure I could be bothered rebasing them.

The first work in progress of the new figures - this one saw some paint as he was already undercoated

Hopefully this week will see his 9 other mates on foot painted.

Cheers

Very nice, I like the painting style, bright yet with fairly subdued 'medieval' colours.

Another week and some more painted Normans

A foot command set

A set of six with big axes

Hopefully will add some more cavalry next.
