Yes, the 1/48 WWII range as well as Projekt X is with Scarab now.

Have been for some time, I got a Platoon of Paras and one of Waffen SS, when they were still North Star. I think they are really nice, though I've only painted half a dozen of the British Paras!

As others say, Scarab has them now.

Good figures to paint.  LINK

Having seen the mini's "in the flesh"; a couple of guys are playing a Chain of Command campaign at the club, I can confidently say that they are excellent.

The only foible I have is that the ranges are not very complete and it would be nice to see more additions to all of the ranges.

Darrell.

Agreed. I'm still waiting for a Russian Command pack. Been years.

It might be years still! worth contacting Rob and asking him if/when he plans to add to the range- hopefully with the same sculptor!

Lack of completion is the only reason why I haven't made an order- I know from the guys at our club that I'm not alone in that.

Darrell.

I think Richard Ansell sculpted these. Dunno if he'd be amenable to a return to 1/48 WW2.

But wasn't he recently persuaded to return to WW2 for Tag? If so there might be some hope...

Huh! Didn't even know these existed!

About how tall are they... anyone know? I now they're listed as 1:48, so I'm expecting (hoping?) they're a bit bigger, but labelling is one thing, reality another.

Most are 36-37mm to top of helmet. Very nice figs overall.

Damn that sounds perfect! Might order a pack or two of these! I've been holding off on an order From North Star for a while because there was was only one pack of figures I needed (from another line entirely), so maybe now's the time...  :D

EDIT: Oh wait, the point is that I *can't* get these from North Star. Haha, derp. Well, I might get 'em anyway.

You also have another 1/48 scale metal manufacturer here in LAF.
Gothicline has some figures compatible with those from Northstar. ;)

FYI -- Tamiya 1/48 is smaller and much skinnier in comparison. Tumbling Dice 1/48 also.

I discovered something hilarious yesterday: You can still order them from North Star after all. You just have to go down the to the "Scarab Miniatures" section.  lol
