Which helmet would infantry wear if stationed in Ireland? White pith helmet or black home service helmet?

Home service helmet, (which is actually blue I believe.)

The pith helmet was for hotter climates, Africa India etc.

It's almost black.

I've found a good blue-black colour for such heltmets can be built from mixing dark blue and black over a black base, followed by very thin washes of black until the desired effect is reached. Hope that's some kind of help
