Frostgrave book orders
« on: July 21, 2015, 06:50:04 PM »
So I ordered the books about 1.5 week ago on amazon.de and I received a shipping date of 29-30th of July instead of the 21st. This was a bit weird, but OK, I also ordered the 3rd expansion to IHMN so I thought "maybe that takes longer?". In my account my order is still listed as being delivered between the 29-30th of July but when I check the actual sales page it's telling me that it'll take between 1 to 2 months for the Frostgrave book, and the other thing I ordered is listed as "available right away".

Has everything sold out that quickly? Does amazon.de also have a pre-order guarantee? Must I now wait another month to 2 months for my book? So many questions. I sure didn't get any response from amazon.de staff.

Could be that they sold out that quickly. This morning on Amazon.com it had the regular shipping. Now it reads the same "usually ships in 1-2 months".

I'd love to, but you don't accept paypal atm. And my only other way to pay is through bank transfer (I live in the Netherlands) and I've tried to contact you through email a couple of months ago with an order and the question if I could get the IBAN payment details and never heard anything back.

Northstar does accept paypal as I have paid more than once that way and also for Frostgrave😉 sure Nick will help you out but you can find the details somewhere on their website.

That's a shame.  I had looked in on the Nickstarter, started into the order process then got shut down at the payment options.

Why?
I guess being told the truth about the random customs security screen delay was something we had the ability to control?

As I explained earlier today:

Everything was set on our end to get them out before we left for Historicon.
The 1 box of 18 that contained 80% of the metals and the resin tokens to fill the Nickstarter orders was going through additional screening in customs. That parcel was delivered to us on Wednesday while I was away at Historicon. There was no lack of planning. We fully intended to get them all out before leaving for the convention. We paid for overnight delivery from the UK. As previously stated, 17 of 18 parcels arrived a week ago Friday but missing parts to fill every one of the orders did not reach us until Wednesday. We are currently processing all of the Nickstarter shipments.

One can only control what one has the ability to control.

One can control the information given to customers. I never once saw an announcement or received an email about the delay in customs.  The last news on your Facebook on Frostgrave is from July 8th.

Likewise. Wound up getting mine elsewhere purely because of Paypal.

I ordered it at my local 'real' bookstore, it arrived today and I bought it.  No hassle here!

Perhaps because he was at Historicon and not able to access his E-mails and/or website? I'm sure they didn't intend any harm. I've had to wait weeks for a parcel to arrive because it was stuck at customs. It happens. There's nothing any supplier can do about it.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaah !
