Warmachine Pirates and other manufacturers
« on: 27 October 2008, 12:09:38 AM »
Does anyone have any idea what Warmachine Pirates look like compared to other piratey (or otherwise) figures in different ranges? I believe the Warmachine figures are actually 32mm which is a fair head and shoulders above most of the ones I have, being 28mm. Anyone had any experience with this? Any pictures? Thanks!

In order, we have:
Foundry fellow with rifle, Warhammer empire militia, Warmachine Captain Phinneas Shae, Hasslefree Shimmer, Reaper pirate, Reaper Captain Sophie.

I mix them all freely in my armies - I have a pirate crew for Warmachine, and am currently building a Warhammer Empire army based on pirates - to go with the pirate ship I am building.

They mix well with my Black Scorpion pirate but like Black Scorpion they are bigger than most.  Some are also more Sci Fi decked out that other. hope that helps

You're using the Hasslefree Shimmer as Tinkerbell, then? ;)

Not quite, but that would have been fun. No, I just have her leaping over the rail as one of my Warmachine pirates. I have an all female group.

here's a scale comparison shot I did a while back when I got the Black Cat Bases random box deal.

And here's a bad photo with terrible lighting of my painted lot showing Reaper, Foundry (converted taller), GW, 7th Sea, Black Scorpion and Warmachine all together.

Thanks for that Rob, the comparison between ranges is a phenomenal help.
