More Mad Max Cars
« on: July 25, 2015, 06:16:45 AM »
Hey guys, after browsing some of the threads I thought I would add my work since some of the hobbyists here were a big influence.

All of these are made from hotwheels or matchbox diecast cars. The rules I am using are warlands. Ive played a couple of small games so far and have really enjoyed them.

much more to follow.

Well, after a welcome like that I think you should fit in very well :D
Welcome to LAF.

You have great rust tones, and the style you put on the cars makes it feel like one place. nice work.

That chev is fantastic! Love the exhaust gubbins and storage.
And what a angle on the blue pannelvan/woodie!! With the blower obscuring even more of the view, I imagine a severe chop would be needed to reposition the driver seat lol lol

Keep em coming

Cheers
Matt

thanks for the comments and welcome guys.

3 fingers- yeah, im the first one to admit the roller is not great. My friend who gave me some vehicles including that one wanted at least one to be super spiky.

jimbibbly and Constable Bertrand- thanks, weathering powders makes the rust look more dull and dirty which is what I was going for.

now for some buggies!

Im going to try and get these painted before Tuesdays game.

Very cool conversions. I love the rust and weathering. Great work mixing and matching GW parts.

You are a real craftsman. Though I love them all, I think my favourite is the spiked steam-roller in your earlier post. Brilliant stuff!

thanks for the comments guys  :o

The cable is from a company called dragonforge. I bought them years ago and still have a bunch left.

got the buggies painted up.

I played a couple of games yesterday, here are some pics of them.

Im going to go to Goodwill today and try and find some more cars and wheels for my war rig.

That game looks like a lot of fun. Some dramatic explosion/wreck markers would raise things up yet another notch!
