This is outstanding!  :o  :o  :o
It's not only the paintjob but the whole Model you built. All those holes and loose planks. The Greenstuff Work. The Detail. The Skulls, The Ghosts. The Paintjob, the layering....

What a pity that my english is way too bad to say how awesome this model is!

The hamster bedding stuff seems to be a lot harder to get these days. If you want some I have grey and yellow ish. I can either bring it to BLAM or stick some in the post?
Teddybear stuffing or aquarium filter "cotton" works better it is not as fine and lumpy as cotton wool.
If you've got time (snigger) how about giving capoc or hamster bedding a go, it's less clumpy than cotton wool.

cheers

James

Thanks very much chaps!

I wouldn't worry too much though. Chances are it'll only get used once for this pirate game at BLAM anyway ....and then just gather dust on a shelf!

Thanks Driscoles!

The coastal section I'm trying to get finished for this has moved on a wee bit as well. Still WIP......

If i ever do it again, i think id change the waves. I'm not sure they worked out as well as planned. I've still a few coats of gloss varnish to put on as well.

Lovely work mate  :-* :-* :-*

How about 'joining' the waves together with thinned down water effects so it blends them in a bit more?

Dunno if that makes sense though  o_o

Thanks Jim.

My water effects consist of cheap gloss varnish and cheap clear silicon (with a touchnof polyfilla for the foam of the waves) I'll put a couple more coats of varnish in to see if that makes the transition less drastic mate.

Ta Colin. I'm afraid I don't get the green fingers bit though.....

Heres a couple more pics. This is the other set up. This will probably be the set up when used for 7th Voyage games.

I thought you got green fingers from painting the trees
Have you found those other ones yet?

I really like the arrangement in the latest set of photos, I t hink it's more pleasing to the eye than the rocks meeting In the middle. :-*

He probably sees it as his private equatorial beach, so watch out!

No, i thought I'd be smart and actually attach the leaves to the trees.. .then paint. Duhhhh!

Trees found .....along with 2 more row boats.

Be warned its actually a nudist beach!

My thinking with the original arrangement was to make the profile the least as poss from the side. When its on our  boards theres going to be a weird area where a ship will leave one board only to strike the side of this board!
