Such a lovely (though now somewhat dated) game, that doesn't get the love and attention it deserves.
I caught on too late and am still looking for the last few bits to complete my fleets  (without getting fleeced on eBay)...
Please, dabble on!

Thanks again chaps, apart form Paul, you know the rest  lol

Where do you get the trees and palms from?

Here Quite cheap and the smaller ones certainly do the job. The larger ones; 70-80mm +, are a little lacking but still perfectly useable.

cheers

Slick work. We played a lot of this in the day but my copy hasn't been out the box for over 15 years! I was going to flog it but I've no idea what it's worth.

About £60-80 on ebay, the two boxed supplements go for a lot more. Decent nick obviously.

Scratch built. A lasered profile with the top walls and cannons stuck on. It needs some barracks in the middle really though.

cheers

Thanks, James. But these are not the etched brass ones, are they? That certainly would be a hell of a lot of work ...

They are etched brass and the smallest ones are about 6mm tall.

The palms are a pin with etch foliage, sprayed separately I think and then stuck together.

I believe they are made in China but I could be wrong.

Great job, James! :o

I too would like to get some of those tiny palms for my Caribbean game, can you specify which item they are on that site please? I can't seem to find ones that fit the bill? What scale/size are they listed as?

Cheers. Mines still boxed and in good nick. Maybe I should think about it.

Cheers Jim,

Looking on the site the "cheaper one" looks like it's this one:
https://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/canary-island-date-palm-click-picture-to-see-prices-and-options.html

However, it's 1 pound each, and apparently it's 5 CM tall... what did i do wrong?

Cheers
Jack

Very nice. Will you be putting anything inside the hill fortress such as small buildings?
