I've painted up a test figure to see how my incredibly rusty painting skills are holding up. Pretty happy with it but as I didn't have all the paints required I had to mix some colours usings some paints from my wife's art cupboard. I think I might need to do some shopping!

Watch out, here comes the witch doctor! Is it just me or does anyone else sometimes feel uneasy about the stereotyping that happens in pulp?

I have added a few more pics over at my blog pulp island.

does anyone else sometimes feel uneasy about the stereotyping that happens in pulp?

Just remember, that if there ever was a genre to let you buck expected conventions and stereotypes about characters, something that's already as ludicrous as Pulp can accommodate being reimagined or remade even more than most genres.

The stereotypes might be real, but there's no reason for you to feel trapped into following them.  ;)

Half of the film crew is done! Only have a couple of heroes and the cameraman to do.

They're all looking just great. Your dramatic painting style suits the subject matter perfectly!

That terrain piece has already paid for itself as a delightfully dramatic photo backdrop. Nicely done!

I also love the look of that hut in your August 29 post.

I have finished off the last of the film crew. I've added a bit of muscle (literally) to help give the league a bit of punch.

Sorry for the flurry of posts recently, I've been on a roll. Also, thank you for your kind words. I've drawn up a template for my character profiles and I thought I would share it.

Your terrain and models look awesome.  The group shot in front of the gates looked like a movie classic.  I really like what you did with that template; I need to do something similar for my SA adventures.

Here are most of the Sailors painted up.

Also, I have started work on King kongs wall. My son is helping with the wall reliefs.

Wow! Your project is coming along great. Excellent minis and terrain.

And I really like the Pulp Alley character card you came up with. Well done!  ;)
