Khurasan releases 15mm Savages of the Lost World
« on: 26 August 2015, 05:47:33 PM »
We are very pleased to release our 15mm Cavemen of the Lost World range, seventeen poses of models.

First we have the chieftain -- a hero swinging a club -- along with the chieftain's woman and the tribe's shaman, who also bears the standard of the tribe.

Most adults fight in close order thrusting a spear.  It's mostly the men in these ranks, but some strong adult women join the formation as well.

The youths skirmish in front of the spearmen, hurling rocks or light spears and dashing in to kill with clubs or bone knives.

The tribes keep many hunting dogs and these fearless creatures are trained to encircle their prey and strike from behind whilst the cavemen are pressing in frontally with the spear.

These models are available now at the link below.

They are meant as foes for our Salamen reptilians (which themselves will be getting an expansion soon) but of course can be used for a variety of different settings.

I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Thanks Reed -- think they might do as Dunlendings or other fantasy savages/backward peoples as well.

I'm considering making some mounted on wooly rhinos!  :-)

Thanks, and we have some amphibian reptilians to fight them too, the Salamen.

Thinking of what other forces might be appropriate for a lost world range. Apemen come to mind, but any ideas for others?

Big hairy Neanderthals

Folks like the bad guys in 13th Warrior

A tribe of Sasquatch(es?)

Sleestax

Every time a bad person dies, a Paratrooper gets his wings.

Can't remember what they are called, but in Edgar Rice Burroughs "Pellucidar" series, there are Pterodactyl men who act as tyrannical overlords oppressing the caveman-like races of that land. I prefer ERB's Mars to Pellucidar, but I can't think of anything on the market like these creatures.

Maybe Tribal Garn wielding big clubs and rocks? Other than Apemen (which you sorta do already) I can't think of anything else. Maybe lost mechnical Aztec warriors or the likes? Aztec/Incan Dwarves, Atlantis based mumbo jumbo.

Yes, I agree with the idea of some sasquatches!  Gigantopithicus would go nicely with these.   :D

Hiya. Very nice little figures.
Cavemen / prehistoric stuff generally lives in the Age of Myths, Gods or Empires board, or if it's specific to Edgar Rice Burroughs, Rider Haggard etc, then in the Pulp board. So i'm shifting to there and out of fantasy adventures  :)

Hey, Khurasan,

Three ideas to add in: civilian cave folk, men, women, and children, going about their daily lives, picking berries, working on skins, cooking, whatever; skin huts of a more historical than fantasy disposition; and varied paraphernalia to improve the camp - things like baskets, maybe a bone pile for a start at a midden, pottery, loose clubs and spears, etc.

And, of course, more creatures of the stone age as prey for the more aggressive hunters - several sources for the big cats, the wholly mammoths, and the wooly rhinos exist including yours.  Might be nice for other critters from the stone age, especially of the less aggressive types.

But love these figures - they are on the list to add to my collection.  Thanks for creating them and posting them.

@ Mr Khurasan:

These are really nice and will be an addition for my next order:)

But, if I may make the remark, the 15mm Pulp Market is still not very sated when it comes to Lost World-settings. So anything new would be greatly appreciated, at least by me:

How about Characters? Something like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or John Carter would fit in nicely! And please make a Rocketeer and a WWI or II pilot, you know a little bit like biggles:)

And of course Amazons! And maybe an upgrade pack with technology from a "lost race"?

I would love to see more!
