Second Hand Find - Frostgrave Statue

I found a great looking resin wizard on the second hand market today, just right for a Frostgrave statue.





He stands around 8cm tall and will fit nicely on a 5cm square base.  I am thinking one of the old G.W. bases might look nice as a plinth.  The missing hand isn't a problem, it just adds to the aged look of the piece (though if I had it it would look good separate on the base).
Not sure if he would look better as a metal statue (bronze?) or stone.
Any suggestions?

Clearly stone. I might even suggest banging it up just a tiny bit more, but that's a very risky undertaking.

Nice find, should make an impressive statue - a tribute to some long dead wizard who's uninhabited courtyard it still adorns. Thanks for sharing

Stone it is then, thanks for helping me decide.
I suspect I am happier with stone anyway. 
YPU; I had also thought about adding a bit more damage, but I will have to be gentle.
I will have to look out for more of these, at 50p you can't go wrong.

@ Bodvoc; I certainly will.  I spent some time last night carving a plinth out of pink foam, hope to get everything based up today (along with more work on some goblins for a different project).

The statue is almost finished



I just need to weather it a bit, and I have had an idea to add a bit more interest, but more on that if it works.
