Who Watches the Watchmen?
« on: 07 November 2008, 07:06:01 PM »
The call him Rorschach...

He Sees the world in black and white...

The innocent - He terrifies!

The guilty - He terrorizes

...To Death!

What will the ink blot see in you?

A 1-1/2 hour quick job. Going to be used in a new Pulp campaign I am taking part in next year.

3 Browns, 2 Purples, Black and White and Black ink.

Copplestone 28mm, I will be basing him on a resin base of some sort, undecided which one as yet.

Cool paintjob and cool concept. I like the "stippled" effect of the highlights, is there a trick to that or do you just dab it on?

Thanks for the kind words chaps.  :)

Essentially yes. I just used quite thinned paint for the final highlight and stippled several layers onto the coat.

Gorgeous! What fig is he from?

Copplestone Castings GN9 from the Gangsters range.

The same figure is in Pat's avatar too, I notice.

The stippling technique begs to be tried out. It seems to be particularly suited for painting old leather.

Great idea and wonderful realisation : he's sinister as his character.
Now, we want to see Blake, Dr Manhattan, Ozymandias...  ;)

Thanks for the positive comments guys.  8)

I really have no idea what models I'd use for them...  :'(

My sculpting/conversion skills are limited at best and the remaining characters are really quite unique...  :?
